The historical town of Okehampton with its castle, golf course, museums, large supermarkets and ample pubs & restaurants is three miles away and as well as this you will be a short drive to a wealth of popular beaches to the north and south as well as attractions to suit all tastes whch include Morwelham Quay, The Plymouth Dome, Hoe & Barbican, The Eden Project to name but a few. All in all, it makes Meldon an excellent base if you are able to tear yourselves away from the moors and their breathtaking views. Beach 40 minutes, pub & shop 1 mile
